We had an emergency underground. The works area was flooded, and the mining operations was “shut-down”. The night shift applied a well-known 10kW drainage pump to pump to a transfer dam and one HCP 100HD27,5 to pump further down the haulage. The HCP Pump in the transfer dam was emptying the sump quicker than what the 10kW could supply. The engineer instructed the crew to switch the pumps. The HCP was placed in the flooded area and the 10kW was placed in the transfer dam. When they started pumping , the HCP 100HD27,5 “drowned” the 10kW pump. The engineer called for a second pump to be installed in the transfer dam……

We had a need to install high flow/low head pumps in our fish farm. We did not want to make use of conventional centrifugal pumps, because we had a negative suction. We approached the team at HCP Pumps SA to see if they had a pump to meet our needs. The L-Series axial flow pump was offered. These pumps are employed in fish farms all over the world and have proven to be the best solution for these types of applications. We initially purchased one HCP L-250A (7,5kW-380VAC) pump to try out. The pump exceeded all our expectations. Delivering an astonishing 5500l/min@4m head, this was the game changer. We installed 6 x HCP L-250A units in our new plant where we grow tons of fish annually.
